Purchased to house thousands, YWAM Dunham’s purpose to equip and send youth to the nations has been here from the very beginning

  • Our first Discipleship Training School ran in 1978.

  • We "set the stage" for incorporating the arts in missions

  • Creatively proclaiming the gospel with a focus on the French world

  • Discipleship of the next Generation over the course of Generations

The 1976 Montreal Olympics brought thousands through our doors as we Evangelized the nations.

OUR BUILDING’S RICH HISTORY

Prior to Youth With A Mission, our house played an integral role in spiritual education within the region.

Built c.1875

c.1878

Dunham Ladies College opens its doors providing religious education to over 60 young ladies who enrolled in the college in the first years.

Fun Fact:

Pierre-Elliott Trudeau’s Mother, Miss Grace Elliot, was a pupil at Dunham Ladies College

The Gymnasium along with several other additions are built, resulting in the building you see today.

Fun Fact:

During the Second World War many girls from England were sent here for safety and the School reached its highest enrollment

c.1972

The school closes due to low enrollment and the building falls into disarray

c.1976

The building is purchased by YWAM for the purpose of sending missionaries to the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

They continue the tradition of religious education in the building and community.
