A BOOK ABOUT THE
STORY
OF YWAM DUNHAM
by René Laframboise
It was 1974 in Amsterdam when René Laframboise’s life changed forever. On a quest to understand the meaning of life, this Québécois psychologist found Jesus and immediately began to dream of doing things with and for God in Québec. Following this radical encounter, he got involved with a group of passionate Jesus followers from an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and got to experience the abundant life Jesus promises. Little did he know that on top of experiencing an abundance of blessings and adventures, he would also have to face a fair share of challenges and trials.
This book tells the faith journey that René went on, along with his wife, Christiane, and many others, to pioneer and establish the YWAM Dunham campus. Readers will not only learn about the historical events but also, and more importantly, discover lessons of faith and perseverance learned along the way. With a desire to leave an inheritance for future generations, René hopes to inspire each one to remember and build upon the faith experiences and lessons shared in this book.
